  • Carrie's Corner

    Our revamped exhibit feturing Carrie Ingalls! Carrie, a sister of he famed Ingalls family bes known for their stories in Little House on the Prairie, beame a pioneer and homestader in her own right and was a resident of Keystone for nearly 35 years. Come and see treasured family heirlooms, hear her storis, and learn about her life in the midst of a bustling mining town!

  • Photo Galleries

    Gaze at a plethora of photographs for an inside look at life in town, ranging from the 1890s to the 1970s. Pick up a stereoscope for an 1890s “VR” exprience. Many thanks to the Halley and Hesnard familiesfor photo contributions.

  • Classrooms

    Several rooms upstairs feature old style classrooms that students would have used over 100 years ago! Settle into an old school desk, write on the chalkboards, and ring the old schoolbell!

  • Turn of the Century Home

    At first glance, this room looks like a cozy home for the schoolteacher, however we have a room dedicated to furnishings and fixtures utilized by pioneer families of the late 1800 and families of wealth at the turn of the century.

  • Keystone Early Influencers

    Tour our “Keystone Characters” room, featuring larger-than-life personalities from Keystone’s past and artifacts used in that time. Lear about Native American goodwill ambassadors, early general stores, Keystone military veterans, and pop culture references regarding the Black Hills area.
